Monster Jam

SAM_8224Monster Jam, the Madison Heights Police Department and the Traffic Improvement Association of Michigan joined forces to present a special enrichment program for Madison High School students to educate them about the dangers and consequences of texting and driving.

The ìMonster JamÆ Donít Text & Driveî event kicked-off with a presentation by Jim Santilli, Executive Director of the Traffic Improvement Association of Michigan, and Officer Kevin Barrett of the Madison Heights Police Department.

Following the presentation, monster truck driver Chris Bergeron of Chesterfield, Michigan asked students to take a pledge not to text and drive. All participants moved outside where Chrisí monster truck Brutus was on display next to a pledge wall that students will sign as a symbolic gesture of their promise.

Students who signed the pledge wall will be special guests at the Monster Jam show at Ford Field on Saturday, January 12.
